Role Overview

This is not a conventional leadership role. This is a high-stakes, high-performance mandate. You are not a team manager — you are the engine, the closer, the rainmaker.

The Vice President of Sales at Hypotenuse is designed for one kind of individual: a proven sales athlete who can independently drive significant revenue, unlock high-value relationships, and convert opportunities at speed and scale — without waiting for direction, resources, or a supporting team.

You will own the outcome. Entirely.

What You Will Own

  • Single-handedly drive revenue growth through aggressive new business acquisition
  • Leverage your existing network of brands, CXOs, and decision-makers across industries
  • Close large-ticket deals independently — ₹50L to ₹5Cr and above
  • Build and nurture long-term strategic partnerships that compound in value over time
  • Represent Hypotenuse in high-stakes conversations, pitches, and boardrooms
  • Create a predictable, scalable, and aggressive sales pipeline from the ground up
  • Own the full sales lifecycle — from first contact to signed contract
  • Contribute to the strategic positioning of Hypotenuse across target markets and verticals

The Network Builder

You carry deep, warm relationships with CXOs, Founders, and CMOs. Your network is not a contact list — it is a revenue asset that you have cultivated over years.

The Consistent Closer

You have a proven, verifiable record of large-ticket closures in B2B or strategic partnerships. You have been in rooms where the number was big — and you walked out with the deal.

The Performance Athlete

You thrive in outcome-oriented environments. Titles and hierarchies do not motivate you — results do. You are energised by targets, not fatigued by them.

The Autonomous Operator

You do not need a team, a playbook, or hand-holding. You identify the opportunity and you go get it.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8–15+ years of experience in high-value B2B sales, strategic partnerships, or key account management — ideally across brand, marketing, or professional services
  • Demonstrated track record of independently closing large deals in the ₹50L–₹5Cr range and beyond, with verifiable outcomes
  • Strong, active network with decision-maker access at the CXO / Founder / CMO level across brands, agencies, startups, or enterprise businesses
  • Exceptional storytelling, negotiation, and executive presence — able to compel, not just convince
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an urgent bias for action, personal accountability, and an obsession with measurable results
  • Understanding of brand, marketing, or creative services is a strong advantage — though the ability to sell is non-negotiable
