Job Summary: As a Solar EPC Business Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing EPC opportunities with industrial and commercial clients. This role focuses on end-to-end client acquisition, from lead generation to contract negotiation, emphasizing CAPEX (capital expenditure) and OPEX (operational expenditure) models for rooftop, ground-mount, and hybrid solar installations. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solar solutions that meet client ROI goals and regulatory incentives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge, proven sales track record, and a passion for accelerating the clean energy transition. Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify high-value opportunities within industrial and commercial sectors through market research, networking, cold outreach, and partnerships with influencers like energy consultants and trade associations.
Client Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with business owners; conduct needs assessments to design tailor made solar EPC proposals addressing energy cost reduction, financial viability, and sustainability.
Opportunity Management: Manage the full sales pipeline from initial contact to contract award, including site assessments, feasibility studies, financial modeling and risk analysis.
Proposal Development & Negotiation: Prepare compelling RFPs, bids, and contracts; negotiate terms to secure profitable deals while ensuring alignment with company capabilities in engineering, procurement, and construction.
Market Strategy Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for C&I solar EPC, including targeting underserved regions, and tracking competitive landscapes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, finance, legal, and project delivery teams to ensure seamless handoffs and project success post-close.
Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed quarterly/annual revenue targets; maintain client records and provide market intelligence reports.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and industry events to build brand visibility and generate leads.
