Roles : Sales Engineer / Senior Sales Engineer / Assistant Manager - Sales

Locations:

IBMS Division - Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Indore, Udaipur

FIRE Division - Ahmedabad

HVAC - Ahmedabad

Role Description

The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in bridging technical expertise with client needs by driving sales of the company's solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying customer requirements, presenting technical specifications, delivering solution demonstrations, and assisting clients with product selection. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Support

  • Assist in identifying new leads and project opportunities
  • Support senior sales team in business development activities
  • Maintain database of consultants, contractors, and clients

2. Inquiry Handling & Follow-ups

  • Track incoming inquiries and update in CRM
  • Follow up with clients for requirements, drawings, and BOQ
  • Ensure timely response to all assigned inquiries

3. Tender & Proposal Support

  • Assist in studying tender documents and specifications
  • Support in preparing techno-commercial proposals
  • Coordinate with design/estimation team for BOQ and costing

4. Client Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and OEMs
  • Arrange meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Support in maintaining healthy client relationships

5. Technical Learning & Support

  • Learn IBMS systems including:
  • BMS (HVAC Control)
  • Fire Alarm Integration
  • Access Control, CCTV, ELV systems
  • Support senior team in technical discussions and presentations

6. Documentation & MIS Reporting

  • Maintain proper documentation of inquiries, proposals, and orders
  • Submit daily / weekly activity reports
  • Keep CRM updated with pipeline status

7. Internal Coordination

  • Work with:
  • Design Team
  • Projects/Execution Team
  • Purchase Team
  • Ensure smooth information flow between departments

8. Order Processing Support

  • Assist in order finalization and documentation
  • Support handover of project details to execution team

9. Market Research

  • Collect basic market data:
  • Competitor activities
  • New projects in region
  • Share inputs with senior team

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Sales Engineering and Technical Support to provide accurate solutions and assist clients in product selection.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to foster client relationships and address inquiries effectively.
  • Experience in Sales, including lead generation, proposal building, and closing deals with a focus on technical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to navigate complex customer requirements and deliver custom solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field) or equivalent professional experience in solution sales in the respective Division.
  • 1+ years of experience in Field Sales is mandatory (B2B Sales / Project Sales / Industrial Sales / Architects & Consultants) in the respective product line
  • Proficiency in understanding technical systems and the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Exp in IBMS / FIRE - Life Safety / HVAC, or related systems is highly desirable.
