Role ObjectiveTo streamline and manage the end-to-end operations related to inventory, procurement, logistics, vendor coordination, invoicing, and the implementation of systems that ensure smooth delivery and client service.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Procurement- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across all product lines.
- Forecast stock requirements and place timely orders to domestic and international suppliers.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination- Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agent) for timely clearance of goods.
- Schedule and manage delivery logistics with local trucking partners and warehousing.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for quality inspections and assurance reporting.
Accounts Liaison & Invoicing- Work closely with the accounts department to ensure timely vendor and supplier payments.
- Generate customer invoices as per sales terms and ensure accurate documentation for each delivery.
Technology & Systems- Develop, maintain, and implement inventory management and delivery planning software tools (basic ERP or Google Workspace automations or quickbooks)..
Route & Delivery Planning- Prepare optimized delivery schedules and routes for the logistics team to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in operations/logistics preferably in the building materials, construction, or stone industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Quickbooks and basic ERP or inventory management tools.
- Ability to design and implement logistics and inventory software solutions or coordinate with developers.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and high sense of accountability.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience coordinating with CHA and international suppliers.
- Familiarity with warehousing standards and last-mile delivery optimization.
- Experience working in a mid-sized firm with exposure to B2B operations.
