Job Description:

The Human Resources Intern will assist the HR department in supporting the University's employees through various HR functions. The role provides exposure to recruitment, employee engagement and HR administration within a higher education setting. This position is ideal for students interested in developing professional skills in academic human resources and gaining insight into institutional operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with faculty and staff recruitment processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview coordination.
  • Support onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
  • Maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and digital databases in compliance with University policies.
  • Help organize monthly meeting, training sessions, and employee recognition events.
  • Support HR compliance and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team and ensure confidentiality of all employee information.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/ Master's degree Business Administration with Human Resources as one course/ subject, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Exposure to HR related project (if any)
  • Interest in human resources within the higher education or non-profit sector.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
