Job Description:
The Human Resources Intern will assist the HR department in supporting the University's employees through various HR functions. The role provides exposure to recruitment, employee engagement and HR administration within a higher education setting. This position is ideal for students interested in developing professional skills in academic human resources and gaining insight into institutional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with faculty and staff recruitment processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview coordination.
- Support onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
- Maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and digital databases in compliance with University policies.
- Help organize monthly meeting, training sessions, and employee recognition events.
- Support HR compliance and documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team and ensure confidentiality of all employee information.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/ Master's degree Business Administration with Human Resources as one course/ subject, Psychology, or a related field.
- Exposure to HR related project (if any)
- Interest in human resources within the higher education or non-profit sector.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
