Company Description Akiva Business Advisors is a Mumbai-based financial advisory firm specializing in global accounting, bookkeeping, and strategic finance support. With over 15 years of experience, the firm has evolved from advising Indian SMEs on debt resolution and fundraising services to clients.

Akiva also delivers tailored accounting and bookkeeping solutions aligned with each International client's systems and tools, including platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks. The team provides virtual finance support and remote advisory services, acting as an extended finance function for SMEs, large enterprises, and accounting firms. The firm is built on long-term relationships, trust, and scalable financial solutions that help clients gain clarity and control over their financial operations.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Specialist role based in Wadala east. The Business Development Specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities, manage lead generation activities, and build a consistent pipeline of prospective clients. The role includes conducting market research to map target segments, understand client needs, and track industry trends relevant to financial advisory services. The specialist will engage with potential and existing clients through calls, emails, meetings, and presentations, clearly articulating Akiva's value proposition and service offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities also include coordinating with internal teams to prepare proposals, following up on leads, maintaining accurate records, and supporting client onboarding to ensure a smooth handover to service teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to identify opportunities, segment markets, and evaluate client needs.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships, handle inquiries, and represent the firm professionally.
  • Proven Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, qualification, and pipeline management.
  • Ability to work with tools, maintain structured records, and report on business development activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a background in financial services or consulting is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in an on-site, fast-paced environment in Wadala, with a proactive and target-oriented approach.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate effectively with internal delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial services is a plus.
