Department: Sales & Marketing / Process Heat Solutions

Location - Pune

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsiblefor driving growth in the waste recovery and waste-to-energy sector, focusingon boilers and related solutions. This includes identifying new businessopportunities, building strategic partnerships, and promoting sustainabletechnologies that convert industrial waste heat into usable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunitiesin waste heat recovery and boiler systems across industrial sectors ( steel,chemicals, etc.).
  • Conduct market research to understand customerneeds, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Sales & Strategy Execution:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieverevenue targets.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with clients,ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Prepare and present proposals, technicalsolutions, and ROI analyses to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with keystakeholders, including EPC contractors, consultants, and plant managers.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure customersatisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with engineering, and proposalteams to ensure feasibility and profitability of proposed solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities,forecasts, and pipeline in CRM systems.
  • Report performance metrics and market feedbackto senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering(Mechanical/Energy/Environmental) or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development ortechnical sales in waste recovery, energy, or industrial solutions.
  • Strong understanding of waste heat recovery systems,boilers, and sustainability technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentationskills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently in afield-based role.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in B2B industrial sales, especially in sectorslike steel, or chemicals, boilers and heaters .
  • Familiarity with government regulations and incentivesrelated to energy recovery and sustainability.
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals andmanaging long sales cycles.
