Create and implement Business Development (BD) Strategy for India market, in-line with organization's growth plans
Develop profitable business in engineering services domain with primary focus on India market and achieve defined revenue targets. Develop strategic clients with potential for long-term relationships.
Develop strong understanding of current and potential service offerings of the organization. Provide strategic input to leadership for addition of new capabilities having future business potential.
Lead and manage end-to-end Business Development (BD) life cycle - From Client prospecting to revenue recognition: Activities such as lead generation, cold calls / emails, business pitches, agreements (NDA/Service agreements), estimation, techno-commercial proposals, commercial negotiations, client interactions, Purchase Orders / Invoices / payment tracking, etc.,
Build and manage business development team and coach/guide team members for various BD activities. Must be able to create large funnel of leads for engineering service business and close the deals.
Take a lead role in the development of targeted presentations (business pitches) highlighting organization's capabilities and addressing clients requirements
Manage vendor registration activities with client including non-disclosure and service agreements
Create techno-commercial proposals and price estimation/quotations in response to inquiries / RFPs
Commercial negotiations with clients to secure profitable business for the organization
Provide forecasts of projects in pipeline to operations team for resource planning.
Manage organization's representation / participation in conferences and expos. Build strong network of business connects
Actively support and contribute to digital marketing and other brand building activities.
Stay updated about Industry trends, Customer updates, Competition updates, Engineering services market dynamics and tailor strategy / approach to meet the defined targets. Provide update to leadership on critical trends.
Experience And Skills Required
Experience Range: 8 to 18 Years
Qualification : Engineering graduation or post-graduation must (in any of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics/ Civil / Computer Science streams)
MBA / or equivalent degree in management will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of engineering services market, especially for India. Ability to create strategies and plans, Ability to analyze relevant business data.
Should have the ability to open customer doors for the business. Successful track record in sales and negotiation.
Experience of various lead generation techniques / tools, Exposure to use of AI tools preferred, Exposure to CRM tools preferred
Strong skillsets in MS-Office tools (MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
