The company supports both home gardens and large-scale commercial setups with end-to-end services including workshops, training, project development, technical assistance, and specialized products. Rise Hydroponics designs hydroponic growing systems for a wide range of crops, from vine fruits like tomatoes and cucumbers to leafy greens, herbs, and berries, and provides crop-specific nutrients focused on high yields and nutritional value. With years of experience handling projects of various sizes, the team is committed to quality, collaboration, and helping agripreneurs adopt sustainable modern farming. The organization's mission is to empower people to grow their own food or build profitable agribusinesses using hydroponic technology.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Ahmedabad. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in hydroponic farming, build and nurture relationships with agripreneurs, institutions, and commercial clients, and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure. The role involves meeting prospective clients, understanding their project needs, preparing proposals and presentations, and coordinating with technical and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions. The person in this role will track market trends, support marketing initiatives, attend events and workshops, and provide input on new services or products to drive revenue growth. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records,preparing regular performance reports, and supporting long-term strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development, sales, and negotiation skills, with experience managing B2B or project-based clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, conduct effective presentations, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of agriculture, agritech, or hydroponics, or a strong interest in sustainable farming and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and reporting dashboards for pipeline and performance tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field; relevant industry experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proactive, self-motivated work style with strong organizational and time-management abilities, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad, travel locally as needed, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
