Job Description: Business Development Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at
an education financing organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the
company's growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and ensuring smooth
operations for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Relationship Building
o Identify and build relationships with potential partners, clients, and institutions in
the education financing space.
o Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing stakeholders to foster loyalty
and long-term engagement.
2. Market Research and Analysis
o Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and
competitor activities.
o Provide insights and recommendations to inform business strategies.
3. Lead Generation
o Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, expand market reach, and
increase revenue.
o Conduct presentations and meetings with potential partners to showcase offerings.
4. Managing Schedules
o Manage and organize calendars, appointments, and meetings for the business
development team.
o Ensure all client and partner interactions are scheduled and conducted on time.
5. Handling Communications
o Serve as a primary point of contact for business inquiries, handling calls, emails, and
other communications.
o Screen and filter requests, assess urgency, and facilitate communication with
internal teams or external stakeholders.
6. Document Preparation
o Prepare and edit proposals, presentations, contracts, and reports for business
development purposes.
o Collect data from various stakeholders to prepare comprehensive reports and action
plans.
7. Researching and Organizing Data
o Conduct research and organize data to support decision-making processes in
business development initiatives.
o Maintain a repository of market insights, leads, and partner details for easy
reference.
8. Meeting Coordination
o Record, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings with clients, partners, and
internal teams.
o Ensure follow-ups on action items and deliverables discussed during meetings.
9. Maintaining Records
o Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, agreements, and communications in
the CRM.
o Ensure all documents and records comply with company policies and are easily
retrievable.
10. Collaboration Across Teams
o Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies and
ensure seamless execution.
o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure client and partner needs are met
effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the
education financing or financial services sector.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
