Job Description

A Business Development Manager (BDM) job involves identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing growth strategies, and managing client relationships to drive revenue and market expansion. Key responsibilities include market research, lead generation, creating proposals, negotiating deals, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams. The role requires strong communication and strategic planning skills to build partnerships and meet revenue targets. 

Key responsibilities

  • Strategy and market analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, analyze competitors, and stay updated on industry trends to develop strategic growth plans. 
  • Lead generation and prospecting: Generate new leads through networking, cold outreach, and other channels to build a pipeline of potential clients. 
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, understand their needs, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. 
  • Sales and negotiation: Develop compelling business proposals, deliver presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to secure new business and revenue. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to align on strategies and ensure customer requirements are met. 
  • Performance monitoring: Track key metrics, evaluate performance against targets, and provide regular reports to senior management. 
  • Partnership development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other organizations to expand market reach and offerings.
