Job Title:Test Manager / Project Manager – Banking Domain
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 15+ years
Industry: BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Head of Dept. Banking – Delivery / COO / CEO
Travel: Occasional travel to client sites across India
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Management: - Lead end-to-end delivery of banking technology projects (Core Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, Lending, etc.) across multiple clients in India.
- Client Relationship Management: - Serve as a trusted advisor to CXOs, business heads, and IT leaders. Maintain long-term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Planning:- Define delivery roadmaps aligned with client business goals. Contribute to account planning, presales support, and solutioning for RFPs/RFIs.
- P&L Ownership:- Drive profitability and growth of accounts. Manage budgets, margins, billing, resource planning, and cost optimization.
- Governance & Compliance:- Establish strong delivery governance models. Ensure compliance with client-specific and regulatory (RBI/SEBI) requirements.
- Team Leadership:- Lead large delivery teams (onsite/offshore). Mentor program managers, project leads, and SMEs across functional and technical domains.
- Quality & Risk Management:- Ensure high-quality delivery through best practices, frameworks, and quality assurance. Proactively identify risks and manage escalations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 8 years in leadership roles in banking domain.
- Proven experience in manual testing within the banking domain (core banking, payments, lending, deposits, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Indian banking systems and business processes.
- Deep knowledge of core banking platforms (Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Flexcube) and digital banking ecosystems.
- Strong grasp of banking regulations and trends in Indian BFSI.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- PMP / ITIL / SAFe Agile certifications (preferred).
- Hands-on experience in writing and reviewing test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
- Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
- Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or Zephyr.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science
- MBA or Postgraduate Degree in Business Management (preferred)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with public/private sector banks and government financial institutions.
- Exposure to Agile -based delivery models.
- Involvement in cloud modernization, API banking, or open banking initiatives.
