Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support & Coordination:
- Assist the PM and EM with delivering project requirements, ensuring alignment with project scope, quantities, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) in consultation with the Engineering Manager and ensure that they are aligned with project goals.
- Participate in project engineering coordination meetings and represent the discipline in all project-related discussions.
- Design & Technical Contributions:
- Participate in and contribute to design reviews, ensuring technical solutions are optimized and compliant with project specifications.
- Review and evaluate technical work from junior engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure high-quality output and compliance with engineering standards.
- Ensure the relevant technical experts are involved in the design process and facilitate the sharing of expertise across teams and projects.
- Perform both conceptual and detailed engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project-specific criteria.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and review project procedures, standard specifications, and design criteria to ensure consistency across projects.
- Assist in the compilation and delivery of monthly engineering status reports for management and stakeholders.
- Document value additions and best practices, sharing insights with fellow project engineers and leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and document management processes within TCE and customer-specific requirements.
- Training & Safety:
- Coordinate and/or provide training for resources assigned to the project, ensuring all team members are well-equipped to meet project needs.
- Work with the design team to ensure safety is integrated into all stages of the design process and in compliance with safety standards.
- Project Integration & Stakeholder Interaction:
- Ensure timely availability of discipline data to other disciplines, facilitating smooth integration and addressing any integration challenges.
- Interact with customer discipline engineers throughout the project lifecycle and beyond to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Performance Management & Reporting:
- Ensure the measurement of progress on all contracts for reporting and progress claim purposes, providing accurate feedback and updates to the project manager.
- Provide periodic performance data, including resource loading forecasts, and assist in the tracking and monitoring of project execution.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Keep records of lessons learned throughout the project and contribute inputs for the project closure report, ensuring valuable insights are shared with the wider team.
- Support the technology and project teams in the development of automation solutions as required.
- Other Duties:
- Prepare technical specifications, bid evaluations, and technical recommendations as required, ensuring all documentation is thorough and accurate.
- Support project teams with troubleshooting, risk mitigation, and resolution of any engineering challenges or project roadblocks.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Certification in project management or engineering management is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on [specific engineering discipline].
- Previous experience in project coordination, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with project management software, design tools, and engineering standards.
