Overview

The Manager – Sales (Tablet Tooling Market) is a full-time, leadership-focused role responsible for expanding Brijon Pharmatech's market presence across Gujarat. This position drives business development, territory management, and customer relationship growth for tablet tooling, punches & dies, compression machine accessories, and pharmaceutical consumables. Based in Ahmedabad, the role covers key pharmaceutical hubs throughout the state.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within pharmaceutical formulations, nutraceuticals, and contract manufacturing units.
  • Conduct regular customer visits across Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Vapi, Rajkot, and other major pharma regions.
  • Generate leads, present products, follow up on inquiries, and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement, production, R&D, tooling, and maintenance teams.
  • Understand customer challenges related to tooling performance, tablet defects, and machine compatibility, and provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Handle customer complaints, rejections, and performance issues, coordinating effectively for post-sales support.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, regulatory developments, and evolving market needs.
  • Share insights on product improvement opportunities and identify high-volume or strategic accounts.
  • Provide regular market feedback and customer intelligence to management.

Coordination & Internal Reporting

  • Coordinate with design, production, QA, and dispatch teams for custom and standard tooling orders.
  • Ensure timely payment collection and proper handling of commercial documentation.
  • Prepare weekly visit reports, sales forecasts, and MIS updates.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of tablet compression processes, tooling materials, and pharmaceutical production challenges.
  • Excellent negotiation, customer management, and technical presentation abilities.
  • Capability to independently manage the Gujarat territory with frequent travel.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • 5–8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical tooling, compression machines, consumables, or allied engineering products.
  • Proven experience in territory sales and key account management.
