Job Purpose
To drive strategic growth and market leadership in regional market by securing and scaling large‑scale wind energy projects through strong IPP and C&I partnerships, high‑value commercial negotiations, and effective cross‑functional and team leadership, ensuring sustained and profitable MW additions for Suzlon.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales & Business Growth
- Drive strategic sales with key IPP accounts across regional markets.
- Developing strategic partnerships through long term framework agreements
- Identify and develop the C&I market.
- Lead the complete sales cycle for wind projects—from lead generation to contract closure.
- Lead high-value negotiations for Development orders, EPC contracts, Power Evacuation Agreements, and Equipment Supply Agreements.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts aligned with business goals.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with CXO-level executives across IPPs, corporates, utilities, and strategic partners.
- Building customer connect to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop and nurture long-term client ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project outcomes.
- Represent Suzlon at industry conferences, trade shows, and strategic networking events to strengthen market presence.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project development, finance and execution teams to ensure successful project alignment and delivery.
- Provide strategic insights and feedback to management on sales strategies, pricing, and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with Corporate Communications to support brand-building and visibility initiatives.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Lead and mentor team members and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Determine risk profiles, contract structures, and mitigation strategies to support successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and sustainability guidelines.
- Monitor emerging market trends, policy changes, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure exceptional customer service while driving profitable growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of experience in renewable energy/utility-scale project sales.
- Strong understanding of commercial structures, regulatory frameworks, and the renewable energy ecosystem in India.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to drive high-performance teams across geographies.
