What is the Sales Development Representative Role
This is not just a calling job. As a Sales Development Representative at Mentoria, you are the first human touchpoint between Mentoria and the corporate world.
You'll initiate meaningful conversations with CHROs, L&D heads, DE&I leaders, and Wellness SPOCs, and generate qualified meetings for our Business Development team.
This role requires intelligence, empathy, research, and relationship-building not just scripts and spamming.
What You'll Own
Lead Research & Qualification
- Identify and research decision-makers in target accounts using LinkedIn, events, web tools, and databases
- Understand industries, HR structures, and buying triggers across India's top employers
Smart, High-Quality Outreach
- Reach out via email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and phone
- Personalise every pitch no spam, no copy-paste
- Communicate Mentoria's value with authenticity, clarity, and relevance
Meeting Setup & Handover
- Fix high-quality discovery meetings for the Regional Business Managers
- Manage calendar invites, follow-up messages, pre-reads, and briefing notes
- Ensure CRM is updated and context is clearly handed over
CRM & Follow-Up Discipline
- Maintain a clean, real-time CRM (we use Zoho CRM)
- Nurture warm leads with timely follow-ups, relevant updates, and new solutions
Who We're Looking For
- 12 years of inside sales or SDR experience (B2B, EdTech, or HRTech preferred)
- Comfortable speaking with senior leaders (CHROs, VPs, Directors)
- Exceptional at written and spoken communication
- Target-driven, but prefer smart conversations over robotic pitching
- Comfortable with tools like LinkedIn, Excel/Sheets, Notion, and CRMs
- Curious, coachable, and eager to grow in a career in B2B enterprise sales
- Someone who knows how to use different AI stacks for high velocity sales (MUST have)
What This Role Is Not
- This is not volume-based cold calling, we don't want 200 calls a day. We want 20 smart, thoughtful, and high-conversion touchpoints
- This is not an isolated role, you'll work closely with sales managers, content creators, and founders
- This is not static, you'll learn segmentation, research, industry mapping, and real B2B sales strategy every week
