Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience with projects or programs involving regulatory and reputational risk.
  • Experience working on information security compliance programs and audits, and audits involving technical code reviews, application security testing.
  • Experience with designing and operationalizing regulatory compliance programs for new and emerging regulations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in driving the development of best practices, including the development of policies, processes, and training.
  • Ability to be an influential member of an integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet the standards of integrity.
  • Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Regulatory Affairs helps the company innovate responsibly and comply with laws around the world. We partner with teams across Global Affairs, Product Areas, and the rest of the company to ensure constructive engagement with governments and regulators while mitigating risk.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage, and facilitate a portfolio of regulatory programs. Manage the design of compliance program(s) via cross-functional collaboration with product and legal stakeholders.
  • Understand regulations to advice on the design of compliance strategy, conduct current state assessments, analyze capabilities for state solution, develop relevant compliance artifacts e.g., Risk and control matrix, policies, etc.
  • Lead a portfolio of regulatory audits conducted by third-party external auditors or regulators for Alphabet including technical audits involving Application Security Testing, Code reviews, Information Security controls reviews. Own the life-cycle including development of governance and processes.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company regarding the status of new and emerging regulations.
  • Ensure Program Management aspects are built and maintained for the portfolio of regulatory obligations.
