About our Client:
Our client is a well-established steel fabrication company specializing in structural steel fabrication and workshop operations. The company delivers quality steel fabrication solutions through processes including CNC cutting, plate rolling, bending, fabrication, welding, blasting, painting, and dispatch. They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead the fabrication plant, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, workplace safety, cost control, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description
- Develop and implement annual, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on project priorities.
- Coordinate production activities with Design, Procurement, QA/QC, Projects, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and required materials are available before production begins.
- Manage the complete fabrication workshop, including CNC cutting, plate rolling, press brake, beam line, fabrication, welding, grinding, blasting, painting, and dispatch operations.
- Coordinate QA/QC activities and ensure fabricated components meet approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements before release.
- Ensure compliance with welding procedures, welder qualifications, weld traceability, inspection requirements, and applicable project standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma, B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in structural steel fabrication or a closely related fabrication environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role within a fabrication/production environment.
- Knowledge of Tekla Structures, structural steel detailing, and relevant engineering andfabrication standards.
- Good understanding of welding standards and applicable AISC, MBMA, EN, ASME, ASTM, ISO 9001, and OSHA requirements.
