Production Manager India
Primary Employment Location: Vadodara, Gujarat
Mandatory Training & Knowledge Transfer Program: Germany (First 6 Months)
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 8–10 years of experience in managing production floors with highly automated machinery and heat treatment. (or)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing production floors with highly automated machinery and heat treatment.
- Valid passport.
- Willingness to travel (30%).
Languages
Any additional regional languages are desirable.
Core Tasks
- Overall responsibility for production processes.
- Leadership and scheduling of employees.
- Ensuring quality, productivity and delivery reliability.
- Analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimization of processes.
- Cooperation with Purchasing, Technology, Logistics and Management.
- Introduction of new processes and technologies.
Machines & Processes
- Control and optimization of NC bending processes in cooperation with machine manufacturers.
- Ensuring correct NC programs and parameters, including data backup.
- Selection and optimization of tools (bending tools and dies).
- Minimization of set-up times and scrap.
- Monitoring machine performance and utilization.
Technology & Quality
- Ensuring dimensional accuracy through GOM measurement.
- Error analysis in the event of deviations (material, program or machine) in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
Maintenance
- Establishing preventive maintenance.
- Reduction of downtime.
- Cooperation with departments of the Schwihag Group (Technology, Quality Assurance and Production).
Important
- In-depth knowledge of forming technology and metalworking.
Management Tasks
- Building KPI systems.
- Change Management (e.g. Lean Production).
