Production Manager – Sujo Plast

Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai

Experience: 6–10 years

Employment: Full-time | On-site

Sujo Plast is looking for a Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production processes at our Sriperumbudur facility.

Our manufacturing operations include:

• Plastic Injection Moulding
• CNC Machining
• Assembly Operations
• Ultrasonic Welding
• Pad Printing
• Orbital Riveting / other Secondary Operations
• Finishing and related manufacturing processes

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement of daily and monthly production plans
• Manage production across multiple manufacturing processes
• Monitor Plan vs Actual and drive recovery actions
• Manage supervisors, operators and production support teams
• Ensure effective machine loading, manpower allocation and production scheduling
• Improve communication, delegation and accountability within the production team
• Monitor OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime and manpower utilisation
• Implement and sustain 5S and Visual Management
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement
• Improve material and production flow between processes
• Establish effective shift handover and daily production review systems
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Tool Room
• Identify recurring production losses and implement corrective actions
• Develop operator and supervisor training systems
• Improve shop-floor discipline and adherence to standard processes

Candidate Requirements

• 6–10 years of manufacturing experience
• Minimum 2–3 years in a production leadership role
• Experience in a multi-process manufacturing environment preferred
• Practical exposure to one or more of the following:
• Injection Moulding
• CNC / Machining
• Assembly
• Secondary Manufacturing Processes
• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, Polymer, Manufacturing or related engineering
• Strong understanding of production planning and shop-floor execution
• Working knowledge of OEE, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and Kanban
• Good understanding of productivity, rejection, downtime and manpower management
• Exposure to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 preferred
• Strong communication, team-management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to implement systems and ensure sustained follow-up
• Comfortable working in a hands-on shop-floor environment
