Job Description

We're Hiring | Marketing Manager | Mumbai

Bharat Intelligence is building the operating system for agricultural labour and services in India.

We operate across both sides of the marketplace—farmer demand and labour supply—and we're looking for a Marketing Manager who can help us build trust, awareness, and growth across rural India.

This is not a conventional brand marketing role.

You will be responsible for marketing across geographies, crops, operating clusters, farmer communities, labour networks, media channels, and local ecosystems. You'll work closely with field teams, city leaders, category managers, operations teams, and company leadership to make Bharat Intelligence a trusted name across agricultural markets.

Your mandate is simple:

• Make farmers trust us.

• Help labourers discover and join us.

• Build recognition within local communities.

• Create a brand the market remembers.

What You'll Own

Farmer Demand Marketing

You will drive awareness, acquisition, and trust among farmers across operating geographies.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting farmer acquisition for agri-labour, harvesting, fruit care, and crop-specific services.

• Building campaigns around crop seasons and peak labour demand periods.

• Creating farmer-facing communication that explains our services clearly and credibly.

• Supporting city, cluster, and category teams with campaigns, collateral, and lead generation.

• Building awareness programs tailored to local market realities.

Labour Supply Marketing

You will help build Bharat Intelligence into a trusted platform for agricultural workers.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing campaigns to attract local and migrant labour.

• Creating communication around earnings, work availability, payment reliability, and safety.

• Supporting sourcing teams through village campaigns, referral programs, WhatsApp communication, posters, and audio content.

• Building trust and visibility within worker communities.

ATL & Brand Marketing

You will lead regional brand-building initiatives across priority markets.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing ATL campaigns.

• Managing outdoor visibility including hoardings, wall paintings, banners, and local media.

• Developing campaign themes, narratives, taglines, and brand assets.

• Maintaining a consistent but locally relevant brand identity.

• Tracking visibility and brand recall across operating geographies.

BTL & Field Marketing

You will own on-ground execution across villages, mandis, labour hubs, and farmer networks.

Responsibilities include:

• Village activations, farmer meetings, demonstrations, referral drives, and launch events.

• Supporting field teams with scripts, flyers, posters, banners, pitch decks, and WhatsApp material.

• Creating campaigns around crop cycles and seasonal labour demand.

• Measuring effectiveness through leads, bookings, conversions, and repeat usage.

PR & Communications

You will manage Bharat Intelligence's external voice.

Responsibilities include:

• Building PR programs across agriculture, startup, business, employment, and rural economy media.

• Identifying compelling stories around farmers, labourers, rural transformation, and agri-tech.

• Managing agencies, journalists, and industry relationships.

• Drafting press releases, founder communications, announcements, and media briefs.

• Supporting communications during launches, partnerships, milestones, and sensitive situations.

Launch Marketing

You will support expansion into new geographies and crop categories.

Responsibilities include:

• Building launch playbooks.

• Planning pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities.

• Working with city heads, category managers, and operations teams.

• Leveraging local channels including farmer groups, labour hubs, transport points, mandis, WhatsApp communities, and village influencers.

• Building awareness and trust before operations scale.

Content & Creative

You will own practical communication that drives action.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating farmer-facing and labour-facing content in simple, local language.

• Developing brochures, posters, banners, videos, pitch decks, testimonials, WhatsApp communication, audio content, and case studies.

• Working with agencies, designers, videographers, and field teams.

• Building a repository of reusable marketing assets.

Digital & Community Marketing

Responsibilities include:

• Managing social channels.

• Publishing content around farmer success stories, labour impact, launches, market insights, and company milestones.

• Supporting digital lead generation.

• Building WhatsApp and community-led communication programs.

• Tracking engagement, reach, inbound leads, and campaign performance.

Success Metrics

• Farmer leads generated

• Farmer conversion and repeat usage

• Labour leads generated

• Labour onboarding and referral performance

• Campaign ROI

• Brand visibility across priority clusters

• ATL and BTL execution quality

• PR coverage and media relationships

• Social media reach and engagement

• Marketing collateral adoption by field teams

• Launch effectiveness across new geographies

Who We're Looking For

Experience

• 4–8 years in marketing, growth, brand, communications, PR, rural marketing, or field marketing.

• Experience managing ATL and BTL campaigns.

• Strong understanding of rural, semi-urban, and field-led customer acquisition.

• Ability to operate across both strategy and execution.

• Strong communication and writing skills.

• Comfortable working with agencies, vendors, local partners, and field teams.

• Willingness to travel extensively when required.

• Strong ownership mindset and startup adaptability.

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates from the following sectors will be particularly relevant:

• Agri-tech

• Rural marketing agencies

• FMCG rural activation and distribution

• Mobility, logistics, commerce, and hyperlocal businesses

• Labour, staffing, and gig-work platforms

• PR and brand agencies

• High-growth startups

Experience in agriculture, farmer acquisition, labour communication, rural India, and Marathi/Hindi campaigns will be a strong advantage.
