Job Description

Job Title: Assistant HR Manager

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Reports to: HR Manager / Director of Administration

Job Purpose

To support the HR department in executing core HR functions such as recruitment, payroll, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with applicable labor laws and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Manage and process employee payroll in coordination with the finance team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support in coordinating performance appraisal cycles and maintaining evaluation records.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HRIS systems, and personnel files.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate training and development programs for staff across departments.
  • Handle employee queries, grievances, and support conflict resolution.
  • Ensure HR operations are compliant with UAE labor laws and SPEA/MOE regulations (for educational institutions).

Mandatory Requirements

  • MBA in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and appraisals.
  • Familiarity with UAE labor law and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Reports to: Principal / Director of Operations / Board

Job Purpose

To lead and manage all HR functions of the organization, ensuring strategic alignment of human capital management with institutional goals, while maintaining legal compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment including manpower planning, job design, interviews, offers, onboarding, and induction.
  • Manage payroll administration, compensation and benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Lead the development and execution of performance appraisal systems and employee development plans.
  • Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a key advisor on organizational structure, staffing, and employee relations.
  • Drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention programs.
  • Oversee HR records, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and educational authority standards (SPEA/MOE).
  • Mentor and supervise HR team members, including Assistant HR Managers and officers.

Mandatory Requirements

  • MBA in Human Resources or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR functions, particularly in recruitment, payroll, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop HR teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE labor law, compliance standards, and HR technology systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
