Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Department: Human Resources
Experience: 5+ years
Salary: 45k-50k Per Month
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and senior-level HR Manager with 5+ years of relevant HR experience to lead and manage the overall Human Resources function of the organization.
The candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, payroll, attendance and leave management, statutory compliances, performance management, employee engagement, and HR initiatives. The role will also involve working closely with the Managing Director, senior management, and HODs to strengthen people practices and build a positive, productive, and professional work culture.
Roles & Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Take overall ownership of HR operations and ensure smooth functioning of the HR department.
- Work closely with senior management on workforce planning and people-related decisions.
- Identify HR challenges and provide appropriate solutions to management.
HOD Coordination & Reviews
- Conduct regular HOD reviews to understand manpower requirements, employee performance, team concerns, and departmental HR requirements.
- Work closely with HODs to improve employee productivity, discipline, engagement, and retention.
- Support HODs in handling employee-related concerns, performance issues, and people-management matters.
- Review departmental manpower requirements and ensure timely action.
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Manage and oversee end-to-end recruitment for junior, mid-level, and senior positions.
- Work with HODs to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
- Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract suitable candidates.
- Oversee onboarding, induction, and smooth integration of new employees.
Performance Management
- Manage the overall employee performance and appraisal process.
- Coordinate with HODs regarding performance reviews, feedback, goal setting, and improvement plans.
- Identify performance-related concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
- Promote a culture of accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Employee Engagement & HR Initiatives
- Plan and implement employee engagement, motivation, retention, and culture-building initiatives.
- Introduce new HR initiatives to improve employee experience and workplace culture.
- Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and team-building initiatives.
- Collect employee feedback and take appropriate steps for improvement.
Employee Relations & Discipline
- Handle employee grievances, conflicts, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns professionally.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies and HR procedures.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful working environment.
- Support management and HODs in resolving sensitive employee matters.
Payroll, Attendance & Leave Management
- Oversee monthly payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely salary administration.
- Review attendance, leave records, late marks, and other relevant HR data.
- Ensure proper maintenance of employee attendance and leave records.
- Review payroll inputs and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure accuracy.
Statutory Compliance
- Oversee and ensure timely statutory compliance related to PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, and other applicable requirements.
- Maintain proper HR compliance records, registers, and documentation.
- Ensure statutory requirements are followed within the organization.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely completion of compliance-related activities.
HR Team & Operations
- Guide and supervise the HR team and ensure proper allocation of responsibilities.
- Review HR processes, documentation, and systems for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the HR department.
- Continuously improve HR processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a managerial or senior HR position.
- Experience in independently managing HR operations and coordinating with senior management and HODs.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, attendance, leave management, and statutory compliances.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and people-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software such as GreytHR, Zoho People, or similar platforms.
