About the Role
Novetum is looking for a proactive and highly responsible HR Intern who can take ownership of core HR activities at our startup.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants real startup exposure and hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and people processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and maintaining hiring trackers.
Take ownership of onboarding and induction processes for new joiners to ensure a smooth employee experience.
Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and internal databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist in drafting and improving HR policies, processes, and employee communication.
Coordinate attendance, leave records, and basic HR operations on a day-to-day basis.
Support employee engagement initiatives and help create a positive work culture.
Work closely with founders and business leaders on people-related requirements and priorities.
Help identify gaps in current HR practices and suggest practical improvements suitable for a growing startup.
Ensure timely follow-up on HR tasks and act as a reliable point of contact for employees on basic HR matters.
Requirements:
Must have completed or be pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management.
Strong interest in building a career in HR, especially in a startup environment.
Good understanding of HR basics including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced work-from-office setup.
Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, Word, and presentation tools is preferred.
