Role Overview

My Design Minds is hiring an experienced andhands-on HR Generalistwho can take complete ownership oftalent acquisition and core HR operationsin a fast-growing design and engineering company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in astartup or MSME environment, where processes are built from scratch and decisions are taken quickly.

The HR Generalist will play a critical role inbuilding the right team, maintaining day-to-day HR operations, and ensuring smooth people management across the organization. This position requiresstrong hiring judgment, accountability, and practical HR execution skills, rather than corporate policy-heavy HR experience.

This isnot a corporate HR rolewith fixed processes and limited scope. You will workdirectly with the founder, support rapid hiring needs, and contribute to shaping HR systems, policies, and SOPs that support business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesHiring & Talent Acquisition (70%)
  • Manageend-to-end hiringfor multiple roles, including engineering, design, sales, and operations
  • Screen resumes, shortlist relevant candidates, and conductfirst-round interviews
  • Evaluate candidates based onskills, attitude, mindset, and cultural fit, not just resumes
  • Maintain astrong backup database of candidatesfor current and future hiring needs
  • Coordinate interview schedules, follow-ups, and communication with candidates
  • Handleoffer rollout, salary discussions, and joining confirmations
  • Ensure reduced hiring risks by usingstructured screening and evaluation methods
  • Support urgent and bulk hiring requirements for project-based and business-critical roles

The HR Generalist is expected to takeownership of hiring quality, ensuring that wrong or mismatched hires are minimizedHR Operations (30%)

  • Manageemployee onboarding and exit formalities, including documentation and handovers
  • Trackattendance, leave records, and basic salary coordination
  • Maintain accurateemployee records, HR files, and compliance documentation
  • Draft and implementHR policies, SOPs, and internal guidelinesaligned with company culture
  • Act as the first point of contact foremployee queries, concerns, and basic discipline matters
  • Support probation reviews, confirmations, and performance tracking
  • Ensure HR processes remain simple, practical, and aligned with business needs
Mandatory Skills & Requirements
  • 23 years of experienceas an HR Generalist handling both hiring and HR operations
  • Strongtalent assessment and people evaluation skills
  • Practical understanding ofpayroll basics, attendance management, and HR documentation
  • Ability to work independently in afast-paced startup or MSME environment
  • Comfortable handling pressure, multiple priorities, and rapid hiring demands
  • Good communication skills inHindi and English
  • Willingness to take ownership and work closely with business leadership
