ProCreator is looking for an HR Generalist / People Operations professional to own and drive core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, while helping strengthen people processes, employee experience, policy governance, and hiring coordination.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable managing day-to-day HR operations independently. The person will play a key role in ensuring smooth onboarding, employee record management, attendance and leave administration, payroll inputs, engagement initiatives, policy execution, and exit formalities. Alongside this, the role will also support recruitment governance and collaborate closely with the recruiter and hiring stakeholders to ensure process adherence and business continuity.
While the role is primarily an individual contributor position, the person may oversee one recruiter and is expected to step into hiring execution when recruitment volumes or business priorities demand it.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end employee lifecycle administration from post-offer handover through onboarding, active employment, and exits
Manage employee records, letters, workflows, approvals, and documentation through HR systems, especially Zoho People
Handle joining formalities including employment documents, NDA, code of conduct, KYC, bank details, background verification coordination, and induction readiness
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as IT for asset allocation, ID creation, access setup, RFID cards, and other onboarding requirements
Administer leave, attendance, holiday calendars, attendance regularizations, special leave creation, and exception handling
Provide accurate monthly payroll inputs to the Accounts team and support resolution of employee queries related to attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and employee records
Maintain HR documentation required for audits, compliance, and insurance-related processes
Drive probation confirmations, salary revision documentation, promotions, role changes, and related employee lifecycle actions
Act as a reliable first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies, insurance, documentation, and routine employment matters
Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives including birthdays, work anniversaries, festive celebrations, team activities, culture-building efforts, and internal learning sessions
Support employee well-being initiatives, feedback surveys, POSH-related coordination, and periodic learning and development facilitation
Ensure a smooth, professional, and employee-friendly HR experience across key people touchpoints
Support managers on policy interpretation, employee discipline matters, notice period discussions, underperformance cases, and other sensitive people issues, escalating when necessary
Maintain and update employee handbook, leave policy, code of conduct, and day-to-day HR process documentation
Help strengthen governance by ensuring HR processes are followed consistently and documentation is maintained accurately
Own HR workflow updates, template changes, automation requests, and coordination with system partners for issue resolution
Provide recruitment governance support by coordinating hiring intake, role approvals, interview process adherence, and hiring progress tracking with stakeholders
Partner with the recruiter and hiring managers on offer approvals, parity checks, onboarding readiness, and seamless handover from recruitment to people operations
Support hiring execution directly during peak hiring periods or when business needs require additional recruitment bandwidth
Ensure recruitment ownership is approached with flexibility and collaboration, rather than as a rigidly separated function
Must-Have Skills and Experience
4–5 years of relevant experience in HR operations, people operations, or HR generalist roles
Strong hands-on experience managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit
Working knowledge of HRMS platforms, preferably Zoho People
Solid experience in onboarding, HR documentation, leave and attendance management, payroll input coordination, and employee records management
Ability to independently handle employee queries and routine people operations matters in a timely and professional manner
Good understanding of HR policies, process documentation, compliance coordination, and governance practices
Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives and people experience programs
Strong coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with recruiters, managers, Accounts, IT, and leadership
Willingness to support recruitment execution when required by business demand
Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, process discipline, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Zoho People and Zoho Recruit for HR operations and recruitment coordination
Ability to make backend changes, workflow updates, and system-level process improvements in Zoho tools
Experience creating, streamlining, and scaling HR processes for operational efficiency
Tech-savvy mindset with interest in AI adoption in HR, including automation, analytics, chatbots, and AI-enabled hiring tools
Awareness of evolving HR technology trends and the ability to suggest process or system improvements
Prior experience working in UX/UI, development, branding, creative, or marketing agency environments will be preferred for stronger business and cultural fit
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Relevant work experience and practical HR capability will be valued more than academic specialization
By the end of the first 90 days, success in this role would look like:
You have taken ownership of day-to-day HR operations and are independently managing core employee lifecycle processes with minimal supervision
Employee records, onboarding documentation, leave and attendance tracking, and routine HR workflows are well organized and running smoothly in Zoho People
Payroll inputs are being shared accurately and on time, with fewer follow-ups or errors
New joiner onboarding is structured, timely, and well-coordinated across HR, IT, and other stakeholders
Employee queries are being responded to promptly and professionally, creating a dependable HR support experience
Key HR documents, templates, and policy/process trackers are updated, easy to access, and better organized than before
At least a few process improvement opportunities have been identified and implemented across HR operations, workflows, or system usage
Employee engagement and people experience initiatives are being run consistently with strong coordination and follow-through
Recruitment governance is running smoothly, with proper coordination between hiring managers, recruiter, and internal stakeholders
During high hiring periods, you are able to step in and support recruitment execution without losing grip on core HR operations
You have built trust with employees, managers, the recruiter, and the COO as a reliable owner of people operations
Hands-on and dependable, with a strong bias for execution
Comfortable balancing structure, empathy, and responsiveness in day-to-day HR work
Process-minded, organized, and able to manage multiple moving parts without losing detail
Collaborative and practical in approach, with the confidence to work closely with managers and leadership
Adaptable enough to support both people operations and hiring priorities as needed
