Client: A reputed co-educational school affiliated with the Cambridge Board and the International Baccalaureate (IB)
A well-established international school in the southeastern region of India is seeking to appoint an experienced and visionary Head of School to lead its academic, operational, and strategic direction.
Role Overview:
As the Head of School, you will be responsible for defining and driving the school's vision, academic excellence, and long-term growth strategy. You will oversee all aspects of school operations — including academics, faculty leadership, student outcomes, and institutional development — while working closely with the governing body and senior leadership team.
The role requires a leader who can balance academic rigour, global standards, and organisational excellence, while fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the school's vision, mission, and long-term strategy
- Oversee academic delivery across Cambridge and IB curricula, with a focus on IBDP
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning outcomes, and university placements
- Lead, mentor, and manage senior leadership team and faculty
- Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development of educators
- Oversee day-to-day school operations, administration, and governance
- Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and financial sustainability
- Ensure compliance with IB, Cambridge, and regulatory standards
- Build strong relationships with parents, board members, and external stakeholders
- Promote a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and student-centric learning
Qualifications & Experience:
- Postgraduate degree in an academic discipline from a recognised university
- Mandatory completion of IB educator training
- Minimum 25 years of experience in education, including:
- At least 7 years as Head of an International School
- Direct experience with IBDP implementation and leadership
