Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Solar EPC Business

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our Solar EPC business operations. The role entails end-to-end ownership of the Solar EPC value chain, from business acquisition to project execution, financial closure, and client lifecycle management.
The COO will act as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving operational excellence, profitability, governance, and sustainable growth while ensuring world-class project delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Growth Leadership
- Drive business development strategy for Solar EPC across Utility-scale and C&I segments
- Identify and pursue high-value opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances
- Collaborate with the leadership team to define growth roadmap, market positioning, and expansion plans
- Oversee bid strategy, pricing frameworks, and contract structuring
2. End-to-End Project Ownership
- Lead complete EPC lifecycle: Engineering Procurement Construction Commissioning Handover
- Ensure on-time, within-budget, and high-quality project delivery across multiple geographies
- Establish robust project governance frameworks, KPIs, and monitoring systems
- Drive standardization, digitization, and continuous improvement across project execution
3. Supply Chain & Procurement Excellence
- Oversee strategic sourcing of modules, inverters, BOS, and key equipment
- Build resilient vendor ecosystems and negotiate long-term supply agreements
- Drive cost optimization, inventory efficiency, and risk mitigation strategies
4. Financial & Commercial Management
- Own project-level and business-level P&L, margins, and cash flow optimization
- Ensure effective working capital management, including receivables and milestone billing
- Monitor financial performance, cost controls, and profitability improvement initiatives
5. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients, developers, utilities, and institutional stakeholders
- Act as the executive escalation point for critical projects and clients
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
6. Organizational Leadership & Capability Building
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing cross-functional team across BD, Projects, SCM, and Finance
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and performance excellence
- Strengthen leadership bench and succession planning
7. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to contractual, regulatory, safety, and ESG standards
- Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and project risks
- Drive best practices aligned with listed company governance standards

Candidate Profile
Experience
- 1825+ years of experience in Solar EPC / Power / Infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record of leading large-scale EPC operations
- Prior experience in P&L ownership and multi-project execution
- Exposure to high-growth environments is a strong advantage
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- MBA / Advanced Management Program from a reputed institution preferred
