Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Intern who has successfully completed CA Articleship and is capable of handling Indian and US accounting operations. The role involves statutory compliance, financial reporting, and exposure to insurance accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting for Indian and US entities
  • Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and provisions
  • Perform bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closures

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

  • Handle Income Tax, GST, TDS, and ROC compliance
  • Support US GAAP reporting and tax coordination
  • Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare MIS, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
  • Analyse variances and support budgeting and forecasting

Cross-Functional Support

  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations teams
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and bankers

Required Qualifications

  • CA Articleship completed (mandatory)
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory laws
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books
  • Proficiency in MS Excel

Mandatory Learning Requirement

  • The selected candidate will be required to undergo a certification course in Insurance Accounting, sponsored by the company
  • Completion of the certification within the defined timeline will be considered part of the role expectations

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Ind AS / AS and basic US GAAP
  • Exposure to insurance industry accounting (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Attention to detail and a deadline-driven approach

Insurance Accounting (Preferred)

  • Assist in accounting of premiums, claims, and commissions
  • Reconcile insurance-related receivables and payables
