Job Description

Role Summary:

This role holder requires coordinating end-to-end and being responsible for student internships. This includes support towards scheduling, organising and managing CDC support activities for the concerned School students at Ahmedabad University, providing ample opportunities for students to achieve 100% success in terms of internships, projects and playing an instrumental role in developing and sustaining a mutually beneficial long term relationship with the industry/recruiting organizations.

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support in the development of an annual strategy to achieve the overall objective of the Corporate Relations & Career Development Centre wrt campus to corporate training, internship and placements of students of the concerned school.
  • Develop circle of reference towards career orientation of the students in each area of specialization
  • Extensive outreach to the focused set of recruiters towards Placements, experiential learning opportunities via Summer Internships, projects etc. for the students, viz. corporates, firms, research and development organisations, think-tanks, NGOs and Govt. organisations, etc.
  • Develop intelligence around student interests with regular and continuing interactions with the student community
  • Sharing industry feedback, trends and expectations with students and leadership
  • Develop intelligence around upcoming market trends and appropriate job matches; with the help of the student councils and other internal stake holders
  • Appoint and collaborate with the Student Placement Committee in collaboration with HOD & Deans
  • Regular interactions with the student groups to provide information, advice and guidance towards career progression supporting the CDC leadership
  • Use and maintain CDC centric CRM or similar tools provided. Ensure data accuracy MIS and Reporting – student profiles, client database, activity report, etc.

Support Director CDC on new student connect initiatives such as but not limited to Career Fair, Summer Fellow, etc.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Adept in using MS Work & PowerPoint with proficiency in working with MS Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and pleasant personality

Open to travel as per professional requirements – City, State and Country

Qualification:

  • Any Graduate preferably a Graduate in Social Sciences (or similar)
  • 2-5 years in organisational set-up, key accounts, student counselling, research will be an advantage

Past exposure or experience in Key accounts, student counselling will be a plus
