Finance Lead – Operations & Business Finance
Location: Gurgaon (On-site)

About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Lead who will
own the entire finance operations function end-to-end, while also driving
financial visibility and business insights as the company scales.
This is not a traditional accounting role. You will work closely with the founder to ensure financial discipline, enable decision-making, and build a scalable finance backbone for a fast-growing cloud and DevOps services company.
What You Will Own
- Finance Operations (Core Ownership)
- Own end-to-end accounting using Zoho Books (bookkeeping, reconciliations, monthly closing)
- Manage vendor payments, receivables, and cash flow tracking
- Ensure timely and accurate GST, TDS, PF, and statutory compliance
- Handle export payments, FIRC, LUT, and related compliance
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and external consultants
- Maintain and structure the chart of accounts
- Billing & Revenue Operations (Critical Area)
- Own invoicing across services and AWS billing engagements
- Track invoice lifecycle: generation → delivery → payment → follow-ups
- Act as POC for clients on invoice clearance and payment delays
- Ensure accuracy and zero leakage in billing cycles
- Work closely with partnerships/alliance teams on billing workflows
- Business Finance & Analytics (Key Differentiator)
- Track and analyze resource cost vs billing (per client/project)
- Build and maintain dashboards in Excel / Google Sheets
- Provide visibility on:
- Client-level profitability
- Margin leakage
- Underperforming accounts
- Support pricing and commercial decision-making
- Compliance, Audit & Controls
- Ensure audit readiness at all times
- Coordinate with auditors for financials and compliance reviews
- Build discipline around monthly closing and reporting
- Founder & Business Support
- Prepare monthly finance summaries (cash flow, receivables, margins)
- Flag risks proactively (cash, compliance, profitability)
- Work with legal on template-based contracts (MSA, SOW, vendor agreements)
- Drive financial hygiene across the organization
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
- 3–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or taxation
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, compliance, and filings
- Hands-on experience with accounting tools (Zoho Books / Tally)
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (comfortable with analysis)
- Experience managing vendor payments, invoicing, and reconciliations
- High ownership mindset and ability to work independently
Good-to-Have
- Experience in a startup or services/SaaS company
- Exposure to billing-heavy environments (multi-client invoicing)
- Understanding of unit economics/profitability tracking
- Experience coordinating with legal or handling contracts
