About the Role
We are looking for a high-ownership Finance Manager / Finance Lead who can operate at the intersection of accounting discipline and business decision-making. This role will work closely with the founder and own the company's financial backboneensuring clean books, sharp insights, and strong financial control as we scale.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end accounting: books, GST, TDS, compliance, audits
- Monthly closing with accurate and timely MIS reporting
- Cash flow management and runway visibility (critical)
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking
- Business performance tracking: revenue, margins, burn, unit economics
- Building financial models to support growth decisions
- Partnering with the founder on key decisions (pricing, hiring, expansion)
- Setting up strong finance processes, controls, and SOPs
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- CA preferred
- 35 years of experience (startup or high-growth environment preferred)
- Strong command over accounting, compliance, and financial reporting
- Solid Excel / financial modeling skills
- Ability to translate numbers into clear, actionable insights
Good to Have:
- Experience in edtech / consumer internet business
- Prior experience working directly with founders or leadership
- Exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, or due diligence
