Job Description

The Field Sales Executive – Document Collection is responsible for visiting customers to collect all required documents for solar plant installation, government approvals, financing, and net metering processes. The role ensures that all customer documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timelines while maintaining excellent customer service and coordination with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Coordination
  • Contact customers to schedule document collection visits.
  • Explain the documentation requirements for solar installation and approval processes.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers throughout the project.
Document Collection
  • Collect all required customer documents, including:
  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Electricity Bill
  • Property Ownership Documents
  • Passport-size Photographs
  • Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque
  • KYC Documents
  • Loan Documents (if applicable)
  • Any additional documents required for subsidy, financing, or utility approvals.
  • Verify that all collected documents are complete, legible, and valid.
  • Obtain customer signatures on required agreements and application forms.
Verification & Compliance
  • Cross-check customer information for accuracy.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policies and utility board requirements.
  • Report any discrepancies or missing documents immediately.
Internal Coordination
  • Submit collected documents to the Documentation Team within the prescribed timeline.
  • Coordinate with the Sales, Technical, Finance, and Operations departments to resolve documentation issues.
  • Follow up with customers to obtain pending or corrected documents.
Record Management
  • Maintain daily records of customer visits and document collection status.
  • Update CRM or company software with customer progress and document status.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of customer information.
Customer Support
  • Provide customers with updates regarding documentation progress.
  • Assist customers with completing forms and applications.
  • Address customer queries professionally and escalate complex issues when required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Number of customer visits completed.
  • Document collection completion rate.
  • Accuracy of submitted documentation.
  • On-time submission of documents.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Reduction in documentation-related project delays.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (preferred).
  • Valid two-wheeler driving license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM).
  • Familiarity with document verification and customer handling.

  • Support smooth execution of solar installation projects by ensuring timely documentation.
