The client is seeking a D2C Lead – India to spearhead the development, scaling, and optimization of its direct-to-consumer and e-commerce business across multiple digital platforms. This role will encompass end-to-end ownership of D2C operations, including platform management, digital merchandising, revenue growth, and customer experience enhancement. The position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution to drive online sales and expand the client's presence across key marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, and Q-commerce channels. Responsibilities include overseeing website operations, ensuring seamless user journeys, optimizing product listings and catalog structures, managing inventory and supply chain coordination, and building a strong brand presence. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and generating actionable insights to continuously improve conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and retention. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in D2C or e-commerce, with expertise in marketplace management, digital merchandising, and performance marketing.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and drive revenue growth across D2C channels, including the client's own website and major marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, and Q-commerce platforms.
  • Manage and scale the client's presence across multiple e-commerce platforms, identifying growth opportunities in product categories, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Oversee website operations, ensuring a seamless user journey, performance optimization, and continuous improvement in conversion rates.
  • Handle end-to-end management of SKUs across platforms, including listing optimization with A+ content, high-quality images, strategic keywords, and SEO best practices.
  • Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams to plan inventory, ensure stock availability, minimize stock-outs or overstocking, and manage order fulfillment while adhering to platform SLAs.
  • Build and maintain strong, consistent brand positioning across all digital platforms, owning the customer journey, feedback loops, and experience metrics.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer ratings, reviews, and retention through targeted strategies and continuous engagement.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including paid advertisements on marketplaces and the client's website, as well as email marketing campaigns to nurture customer lifecycle journeys.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creatives, content, and campaigns that align with brand objectives and drive customer engagement.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), retention rates, and revenue to generate actionable insights and optimize performance.
  • Own and maintain dashboards and reporting systems for leadership reviews, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
