Job Title: Head of Business (E-Commerce), Electronics/ fashion Division
The Opportunity: RK Group in collaboration with a leading marketplace is setting up a new venture to run e-commerce operations: segments covered would be electronics (primarily mobile phones) and fashion. For the same, we are seeking an experienced Head of Business who will be able to work with the key stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and compliance during the initial period of this venture. This role will report to one of the Directors/ promoters.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational excellence:
- In collaboration with stakeholders from the platform, ensure operational SOPs are implemented and followed rigorously.
- Ensure operational efficiency collections and claims as per SLA, returns optimization and management.
Stakeholder management:
- Coordinate with the stakeholders (from the platform, brands and internal) on operational, financial and business related aspects. Use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Finance controllership:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations. Manage and comply with local, state, and union government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Prepare month-end reports for management, including P&L, balance sheets, and cashflow statements.
- Ensure tracking, reporting, and analysing budget variances.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Get the books written accurately to ensure correct company's financial statements.
- Recommend changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance.
- Manage all audits statutory, tax, internal and management.
- Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA with 10 to 15 years of experience, at least 2 years in an e-commerce setup.
- Proven leadership in finance controllership.
- Prior experience in setting up finance processes for a new entity, especially in an e-commerce setup is preferred.
- Must have excellent knowledge of financial policies/ processes and compliance requirements. Should have high proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of key e-commerce metrics.
- Should have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Should have experience of leading teams of at least 5 employees.
- Experience in electronics/ fashion category e-commerce is an added advantage.
Location: Bangalore, with travel as required.
