Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive client acquisition, relationship management, and recurring business development. This role involves daily outbound calling, email outreach, client meetings, job requirement acquisition, and full-cycle client account management to ensure successful job fulfillment and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition

  • Conduct daily outbound calls to prospective clients.
  • Send structured email campaigns to generate new business leads.
  • Identify and approach decision-makers (Hiring Managers, HR, Procurement).
  • Generate and convert leads into active clients.
  • Schedule discovery calls and business meetings.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Understand client hiring needs, timelines, and expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and timely communication.

Job Intake & Requirement Management

  • Take detailed job requirements from clients.
  • Coordinate with internal recruitment teams to fill open positions.
  • Follow up regularly on candidate submissions and interviews.
  • Ensure proper alignment between client expectations and candidate profiles.

Revenue Growth & Recurring Business

  • Generate repeat business from existing clients.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent engagement to secure recurring hiring requirements.
  • Develop strategies to increase account penetration.

Daily Activity & Reporting

  • Maintain daily call and email activity targets.
  • Track client communication and pipeline status.
  • Provide weekly performance reports.
  • Maintain CRM updates and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in staffing/recruitment (preferred).
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Self-driven with strong daily activity discipline.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and follow-ups.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

  • Number of daily outbound calls and emails.
  • New client acquisitions per month.
  • Revenue generated from new clients.
