Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities in government tendering and GeM-related services, build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, and promote CTPL's consultancy offerings across target industries. The role involves understanding client requirements, coordinating with internal tender and operations teams to design appropriate service solutions, and presenting tailored proposals to decision-makers. The person in this role will manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, meetings, negotiations, and closures, while maintaining accurate records in CRM and preparing regular sales forecasts and performance reports. The Business Development Manager will also stay informed about government tender trends, procurement policies, and competitor activities to help shape go-to-market strategies and achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in business development, B2B sales, and client relationship management, preferably in government tendering, consulting, or services.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understanding of government tender processes, GeM portal workflows, or e-procurement platforms; familiarity with compliance and documentation is an advantage.
  • Analytical and research skills to identify market opportunities, assess client needs, and translate them into clear service offerings and proposals.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple opportunities, follow up consistently, and meet revenue and activity targets.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, productivity software, and online platforms to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
  • Experience in working with clients across diverse industries such as infrastructure, healthcare, IT, or manufacturing is beneficial.
