Founder's Office – Business Development

Role: Lead - Business Development (Founder's Office)

Location: Mumbai (Malad West)

Role Overview

We are looking for a performance-driven and research-oriented professional to join the Founder's Office team, focused on strategic business development and ecosystem-led growth.

This role involves identifying high-potential business opportunities through investor networks, founder ecosystems, market intelligence, and strategic outreach. The candidate will work closely with the leadership to build strong pipelines of prospective clients and support relationship-led business development initiatives.

A key aspect of the role includes leveraging Flipspaces investor ecosystem, including institutional investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and UHNI networks, to identify portfolio and co-portfolio companies that are actively scaling, hiring, raising capital, or expanding office footprints.

The role also requires engaging with prospective clients, conducting discovery conversations, and positioning Flipspaces design and build capabilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and track startups, MNCs, and growth-stage companies that are expanding, hiring, raising funding, or opening new offices.
  • Build curated target lists and wish lists of high-potential companies requiring office design and build solutions.
  • Map investor, founder, and alumni networks to identify strategic business opportunities and warm introductions.
  • Identify and map key decision-makers including founders, CXOs, workplace teams, admin heads, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Support leadership with account intelligence, outreach strategy, and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Draft high-quality emails, outreach notes, investor communication, introductions, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across business, strategy, and design functions to support client acquisition efforts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 2–6 years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Market Research, Founder's Office, Consulting, or Growth roles.
  • Excellent research, analytical, networking, and communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially sharp.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn, Excel, CRM/research tools, and presentation preparation.
