Business Development Executive / Field Sales Executive

  • A safety app with features like real-time location sharing, SOS, and connected safety features
  • A growing range of personal safety devices including alarms, BLE products, and GPS-based solutions designed for real-world use

About the Role

We are hiring a Business Development Executive to drive offline sales for IM SAFE personal safety devices across Chennai.

This is a hybrid but field-led role. The role requires at least 3 days a week of field work across Chennai, including store visits, meetings, activations, and follow-ups.

This role is best suited for someone who is hungry, persistent, practical, and serious about building sales through field execution and strong follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, visit, and onboard relevant retail stores across Chennai
  • Pitch IM SAFE products to store owners, managers, and key decision-makers
  • Drive first orders, stock placement, and in-store visibility
  • Follow up with stores for reorders, collections, and relationship building
  • Support stalls, events, apartment activations, and other direct sales opportunities
  • Engage customers at activations, explain the product clearly, and help drive sales
  • Follow up on B2B leads across schools, hospitals, corporates, apartments, and institutions
  • Schedule meetings, support demos, and help move smaller opportunities toward closure
  • Maintain accurate updates in CRM / Sheets for visits, leads, follow-ups, closures, and collections
  • Share market feedback, objections, and competitor inputs with the leadership team

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in field sales, retail onboarding, business development, channel sales, or distributor-led sales
  • Strong communication skills in Tamil and English
  • Comfortable spending at least 3 days a week in the field across Chennai
  • Comfortable with regular store visits, local travel, and in-person meetings
  • Strong follow-up discipline and practical selling ability
  • Confident speaking with store owners, managers, admins, and institutional contacts
  • Able to work in a startup environment with speed, ownership, and accountability
  • Comfortable using Excel / Google Sheets and basic CRM tools
  • Chennai-based candidates preferred
  • Own two-wheeler preferred

  • Device / accessory sales
  • Pharma / medical representative-style selling

Compensation

  • Fixed salary: 35,000 to 50,000 per month, based on experience + Performance incentive linked to store onboarding, revenue collection, and execution quality
