ROLE OVERVIEW

Numerator is seeking a Junior Commercial Counsel to support our growing business, including our Worldpanel by Numerator operations. This role will serve as the a strong legal partner for commercial transactions across APAC markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Junior Commercial Counsel shall be responsible for the following duties and obligations:
Draft, review, and negotiate client-facing commercial agreements, including master service agreements, data licensing agreements, subscription agreements, order forms, and statements of work for APAC markets.
Advise regional sales and business development teams on deal structure, contract risk, and commercial terms.
Identify and escalate legal risks in commercial transactions, with practical recommendations for resolution.
Develop and maintain regional contract templates and playbooks to support self-service and deal velocity.
Manage contracts through Salesforce and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with the global legal team on cross-border transactions, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
Support other legal team projects and initiatives as needed.

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Law degree from a recognized university.
2 - 3 years of experience in commercial/transactional legal work, either in-house or at a law firm technology, data, or SaaS experience preferred.
Experience with APAC commercial markets or cross-border transactions in the region is highly valued.
Working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws across key APAC jurisdictions.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Fluent in English with the ability to conduct business, draft, and negotiate contracts in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
Proficiency in Korean or Bahasa Indonesia any additional APAC market language is also valued.
Self-starter who can manage a portfolio of deals with appropriate guidance, while knowing when to escalate.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools experience managing contracts in Salesforce is a plus.
Experience in the data, research, or consumer insights industry.
