ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Numerator is seeking a Junior Commercial Counsel to support our growing business, including our Worldpanel by Numerator operations. This role will serve as the a strong legal partner for commercial transactions across APAC markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Junior Commercial Counsel shall be responsible for the following duties and obligations:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate client-facing commercial agreements, including master service agreements, data licensing agreements, subscription agreements, order forms, and statements of work for APAC markets.
  • Advise regional sales and business development teams on deal structure, contract risk, and commercial terms.
  • Identify and escalate legal risks in commercial transactions, with practical recommendations for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain regional contract templates and playbooks to support self-service and deal velocity.
  • Manage contracts through Salesforce and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the global legal team on cross-border transactions, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Support other legal team projects and initiatives as needed.

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications and competencies:
  • Law degree from a recognized university.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in commercial/transactional legal work, either in-house or at a law firm technology, data, or SaaS experience preferred.
  • Experience with APAC commercial markets or cross-border transactions in the region is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws across key APAC jurisdictions.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to conduct business, draft, and negotiate contracts in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
  • Proficiency in Korean or Bahasa Indonesia any additional APAC market language is also valued.
  • Self-starter who can manage a portfolio of deals with appropriate guidance, while knowing when to escalate.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools experience managing contracts in Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience in the data, research, or consumer insights industry.
