Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design & Development:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for projects, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
- Create and review electrical design drawings such as single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, and panel schedules.
- Ensure that all designs comply with local, national, and international standards, including electrical codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
- Support the creation of electrical specifications, including the selection of electrical equipment, components, and materials.
- Collaboration with Project Teams:
- Work closely with lead engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, structural, and architectural designs.
- Participate in regular project meetings to discuss technical details, progress, and challenges.
- Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed and accurate technical reports, design calculations, and supporting documentation for the electrical systems.
- Maintain organized records of design revisions, approvals, and communications with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Contribute to the preparation of project specifications, tender documents, and procurement packages.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Perform quality checks on electrical design documents, ensuring that they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Assist in the review of third-party designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
- Ensure that designs incorporate safety measures and consider energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
- Technical Support During Construction:
- Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure the electrical systems are installed according to the approved design.
- Address and resolve design-related issues that arise during the construction process, providing solutions to ensure the project remains on track.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to verify that electrical installations are in accordance with the design and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze design issues and propose solutions to ensure optimal performance and functionality of electrical systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting design optimizations, process improvements, and cost-effective solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest electrical design technologies, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.) or relevant engineering certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with experience in developing electrical systems for infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects.
- Proven experience in creating electrical designs using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design software.
- Familiarity with electrical design codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE).

- Strong knowledge of electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control circuits, and panel design.
- Familiarity with electrical system protection, grounding, and circuit breaker coordination.
Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar design tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills to solve complex electrical design challenges and provide practical solutions.

- Ability to ensure that designs meet all applicable safety, reliability, and environmental standards.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of design documents and reports.
