Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Integration Consultant to design, develop, and support integrations between Workday and external systems across global HR landscapes.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and APIs, and will play a key role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations in a remote offshore model.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations with third-party systems (Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Vendors, etc.)
- Develop integrations using:
- Workday Studio
- Core Connectors (PICOF, PECI, CCW, etc.)
- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB inbound & outbound)
- Work with Workday Web Services (WWS) and REST/SOAP APIs
- Perform data transformation using XSLT/XML
- Handle file-based integrations (SFTP, CSV, XML, JSON)
- Manage integration security (ISU, authentication, encryption, certificates)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration failures
- Support end-to-end testing (unit, SIT, UAT) and deployments
- Document integration design, mapping, and technical specifications
- Participate in Workday bi-annual releases and regression testing
Required Skills & Qualifications
Integration Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Workday Studio (must-have)
- Core Connectors (PICOF, PECI, Benefits, etc.)
- EIB (simple & complex integrations)
- Experience in building:
- Inbound & outbound integrations
- Real-time and batch integrations
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- XML, XSLT, XPath
- Web Services (SOAP / REST APIs)
- Experience with:
- Middleware concepts (optional: MuleSoft, Boomi, Dell Boomi, etc.)
- SFTP, encryption protocols (PGP, SSL)
- Knowledge of:
- JSON, CSV data formats
- Integration monitoring tools
Functional Understanding
- Good understanding of Workday modules:
- Core HCM
- Payroll (US / Global preferred)
- Benefits
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate into integration design
Preferred Skills
- Workday Integration Certification
- Experience with PECI/PICOF payroll integrations
- Exposure to third-party payroll providers (ADP, Ceridian, etc.)
- Knowledge of integration frameworks & reusable templates
- Experience in global HR transformations
