Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. The ideal candidate will ensure high performance, security, and scalability while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet complex project requirements.
- Maintain, update, and optimize existing WordPress websites for performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related technical issues, plugin conflicts, and site errors.
- Implement best practices in WordPress coding, database management, and website architecture.
- Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver responsive, interactive, and user-friendly websites.
- Optimize websites for speed, security, SEO, and overall user experience.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, performing code reviews and sharing best practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and tools to enhance functionality.
- Stay updated with latest WordPress updates, trends, plugins, and security standards.
- Assist in e-commerce website development, including WooCommerce customization and optimization.
- Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and deployment strategies for large-scale projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Expertise in WordPress CMS, PHP, and MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience with WooCommerce, SEO optimization, and website performance enhancements.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), hosting environments, and deployment workflows.
