Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with graphic designing skills to join our digital marketing team. The candidate will be responsible for editing high-quality video content and creating basic design assets for multiple clients across social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands short-form content, social media trends, platform-specific editing styles, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit videos for social media platforms including Instagram Reels, Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.
- Create engaging short-form and long-form video content aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives.
- Design supporting visual assets such as social media posts, thumbnails, story creatives, and basic banners as required.
- Ensure videos are optimized for each platform, including:
- Proper aspect ratios and resolutions
- Relevant music, sound effects, and transitions
- Subtitles/captions where required
- Platform-specific pacing and hooks
- Collaborate closely with social media managers, designers, and content strategists to understand briefs and deliver timely edits and designs.
- Manage multiple editing and design tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Make revisions and updates based on internal feedback and client requirements.
- Stay updated with current video trends, reel formats, transitions, and visual design styles popular on social platforms.
- Organize and maintain raw footage, design files, project files, and exported assets systematically.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- 12 years of experience in video editing (agency or digital content background preferred).
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of social media content formats, trends, and audience behavior.
- Ability to select suitable music, sound effects, typography, and visual styles for different content types.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics, text animations, and subtitles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, visual consistency, and quality control.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a multi-client environment.
