- Role Purpose
As a Senior Video Editor (Learning & Development), you will play a critical role in creating high-quality video content that supports engaging and impactful learning experiences. Working closely with content producers and creative stakeholders, you will transform raw footage into
polished, brand-aligned video assets.
You will be responsible for maintaining creative excellence across all outputs, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of post-production workflows, efficiency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit a wide range of green-screen and studio-based video content, including corporate communications, learning and development resources, educational videos, and videocasts
- Ensure all video outputs align with GEDU brand guidelines and maintain consistently high production standards
- Interpret creative briefs and deliver editing solutions that enhance learner engagement and the overall learning journey
- Conceptualise, create, and deliver engaging video content for multiple platforms, including internal learning platforms and webinar environments
- Enhance video content through effective editing techniques to maximise visual impact and audience engagement
- Optimise video assets for different platforms, ensuring appropriate formats, resolutions, and technical specifications
Essential Skills and Experience
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience in video editing, preferably within a creative agency, media production house, or in-house brand or content team, covering projects from concept to final delivery
- Green Screen & Chroma Key: Strong hands-on experience with green-screen post-production workflows
- Education: Degree in Videography, Film, Media Production, or a related discipline (desirable but not mandatory)
- Digital Asset Management: Proven ability to manage, organise, and archive digital assets efficiently
- Video Post-Production: Advanced skills in editing, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics integration
- Audio Post-Production: Experience editing, mixing, and mastering multitrack audio for podcasts and video content
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition; experience with Premiere Pro Productions is highly desirable
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of video compression, encoding, optimisation for web delivery, and working across multiple formats and resolutions
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality control, ensuring accurate, error-free outputs
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
- AI Tools: Experience or exposure to integrating AI tools within post-production workflows
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the Higher Education sector and student recruitment content is advantageous but not essential
