Job Description

Job Title: Head – Projects & Technical Services

Location: New Delhi (Corporate Office) | Travel to Project Sites

About The Role

Our client — a leading Domestic Hospitality group with a strong presence across Leisure Destination in India — is looking to appoint a seasoned Head – Projects & Technical Services to lead its development and refurbishment initiatives across the portfolio.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for translating brand vision into world-class hospitality assets, ensuring timely delivery, cost discipline, technical excellence, and long-term asset value — all while keeping guest experience as a priority.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end execution of new hotel/resort developments, refurbishments, and expansion projects
  • Own project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control
  • Conduct regular site reviews to monitor progress, quality, safety, and contractor performance

Design & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee architectural, interiors, MEP, and landscape coordination
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, design intent, and operational practicality
  • Review and approve drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical submissions

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations to ensure efficient layouts, service flow, and revenue optimisation
  • Partner with Finance on capex planning, budget approvals, and cost audits
  • Coordinate with Procurement on vendor selection, material approvals, and contracts

Consultant & Contractor Management

  • Appoint and manage architects, PMCs, contractors, and specialist consultants
  • Ensure contractual compliance, governance, and performance benchmarks
  • Proactively resolve on-site challenges to avoid delays and cost overruns

Asset Quality & Engineering Standards

  • Establish engineering benchmarks and preventive maintenance frameworks
  • Conduct technical audits of existing assets and recommend capex upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Integrate energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and green building practices
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials to enhance performance and guest experience

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and technical teams
  • Build a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

  • Strong grounding in Hospitality Project execution
  • Deep understanding of construction practices, MEP systems, and design coordination
  • Sound commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Ability to balance premium aesthetics with operational efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master's preferred)
  • 18–20 years of experience in Projects, with at least 7+ years in Hospitality or Luxury real estate
  • Proven track record of delivering complex hotel or resort projects
  • Experience in managing multi-locational teams and Consultant ecosystems
