We are urgently hiring a Desktop Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees. This role is ideal for freshers or entry-level candidates looking to start their career in IT support.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and peripherals.
- Respond to support tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new workstations and user accounts.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates on systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all support activities and solutions provided.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with common desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of hardware components and their functionalities.
