Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Paint Artist with strong expertise in prep/paint workflows to support high quality VFX production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering clean, seamless fixes and reconstructions that integrate smoothly into the compositing pipeline.
Specific Skill Set
- Perform paint and cleanup tasks including wire removal, rig removal, marker removal, and artefact cleanup
- Create clean plates and background reconstructions for complex shots
- Handle frame by frame fixes ensuring seamless integration with original footage
- Maintain consistency, edge quality, and texture continuity across sequences
- Collaborate closely with compositors and roto artists to meet shot requirements
- Ensure outputs meet client quality standards and delivery timelines
- Take ownership of assigned shots and manage tasks independently
- Troubleshoot and provide efficient solutions for challenging paint work
- Execute De-Age and Beauty fixes
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong hands on experience in Nuke (mandatory) and Photoshop
Expertise In
- Wire/rig/marker removal
- Clean plate creation and patching
- Background reconstruction
- De-Age and Beauty fixes
- Good understanding of paint workflows within the VFX pipeline
- Strong eye for detail, textures, and continuity
- Ability to maintain invisible fixes and seamless results
Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: Diploma or Degree in VFX, Animation, or related field, 3–5 years of experience, preferably on international VFX projects
